Six stages of the customer journey

I am utterly obsessed with customers and believe that they should be put at the heart of every single strategy. This may sound obvious, but it’s easy to forget who you’re actually selling to when you’re busy building a business! That’s why I have broken down the customer journey into six stages, so that you can learn how to woo them from the moment they learn about you, to when they become advocates of your brand.

What the six stages look like

1. Awareness/discovery

The point at which your customer stumbles upon you, whether they read something in the press, see you stocked with a retailer or find you through Google.

2. Interest

When a potential customer has decided to look at you online or follow you because they want to know more about what you do.

3. Customer consideration

The point at which your customer is thinking about purchasing. Yay!

4. Purchase and retention

When a customer stays interested in your brand and products after their initial purchase.

5. Loyalty

Your customer buys more from you and is becoming more loyal to your brand, a more profitable way to build your business than new customer acquisition

6. Advocacy

Your customer shouts about you to their friends and family, which is essentially free PR!

Use these stages as a guide to make sure that you’re looking after your customer at each step of their journey, to boost profits and gain consumer trust. Want to know what it takes to get your customers raving about you so that you can seriously boost your sales? In this masterclass, I break down how to woo your customers at every stage of the journey. Once you have watched it please message me and let me know what you are going to implement in your business.
